CyberWombat's Stock Car Cross-Reference

This photo reference site of past and present full-body stock cars is organized more for the modeler than the historian. Links are arranged in order by body type, to help determine what can be made from a particular kit or die cast body. Each body type has the years it was run in NASCAR Grand National/Winston/Nextel Cup, a glue-kit body, and a die cast body listed, where known. Series outside of Grand National/Winston/Nextel Cup are included, but the year range may not necessarily coincide to when that body type was run in the top ranks..

Most cars past 1998 are well-represented at many other sites (Jayski's Paint Scheme Gallery and Motorsport.Com are two great sources). The focus of this site is mainly on pre-1990 cars, however, later photos as the mood strikes and the information is found.

Your help is needed! Most of the photos have been "captured" from other Internet sources. Many fellow modelers at Randy Ayers' NASCAR Modeling Center Forums have contributed; others are linked directly to other web sites. Please see the bottom of the page for contributors.

If you have photos or scans that you would like to share, please email me; I will be happy to host your images. Comments & corrections are also welcome, as I am far from an expert in identifying a car just from looking at a photo!
